I have spent a lot of time trying to find a peaceful and clean place, where to enjoy nature to its fullest, so i found Stiuca Schioapa (The Crippled Pike). Of course big smiles while enjoying the funny pics and texts painted by an artist, that were welcoming us. We knew from the very beginning the place was for us. The plus of the guest house is the swimming pool and the dock to the water. Hence, the boat trips, which can be arranged by the owners without advance booking, are right at your “door” taking you on several routes that you can choose from. While enjoying Lounge music on the terrace, Caviar and Champagne can also be a choice (pour les connaisseurs 😉). Well, well, a good local wine, beer and Prosecco at very reasonable prices can very well be enjoyed. I have read some comments of other visitors, which i find malicious, and trust me i am not easy to be pleased, ha ha. Rooms are modest indeed, but very clean, but if you have other expectations, is not the right destination in the first place, or not the right money you are paying. Danube Delta is charming for all that is traditional. If you are there, enjoy the waters, the fishing maybe, the green and smell of the nature, the fish dishes, the sun, the birds singing, and forget about spending you time in the room at the tv! The hosts are lovely people, just ask them for anything and they will do their best to make your stay desirable for you. Thank you, we will be back one day.
